Howdy.

Bonjour. Il fait très chaud... and it will always be.

Just got back from taking the DELF A1 examination. Nothing to brag about though, it's like kacang putih to many people out there. Baby steps.

I love empty streets, especially ones who are usually bumbling with traffic. Cruising into KL on a Sunday morning just provides such a contrast to civil life. The waves beat to the rhythm of the call of regulation and customs, pace set by ourselves. Très intéressant.

Since we are on the topic of interesting things.... check out my skirt.
Kidding. The sun was scorching last week, so I switched out a long sleeved blouse I wore initially (cool right after a shower) for a loose cotton tee. What more than to pair it with a skirt for more bodily ventilation! I like how the mesh overslip brings out sexy (in a subdued way) overtones. And it being black makes it a 100 times more versatile. So voilà.

A bientôt!

Monochromatic Mondays

Are you done sulking over Liverpool's close one? No? Me too. I just watch for fun.
It's nice being impartial sometimes. There is no stress rooting for your team of choice, just basking in the excitement of the game. My father watches football every weekend, so establishing a family tradition. Through sulking between switches of a HBO movie and ESPN, I developed an appreciation for the game. But still, I feel unworthy to call a game "the game"...... yet.

How did Mother's Day go? My brother and I baked up a storm (a.k.a. carrot cake) for mommy dearest. Although we used the wrong recipe, it went smooth. Smooth like the butter we almost used instead of vegetable oil like mommy always does. So you see, if it is edible it is a success.

Sorry but this post may (or may not) add on to the monotonic humdrum of Mondays. Black and white is always my basic poison. So here:

1. A top to match your glorious marble dining table. It takes social camouflage to a whole new level. RM 65 Milktee

2. This is a level up-ed version of your grandma's pearl necklace. Be ready to make all your grand aunts jealous. RM 44 Lucaccal

3. Hip daisy print takes form in a midi dress. RM 69 O'bambi

4. Multiply by a 100 times and I might recognise the piece as Céline. Sounds like a staycation top of dreams. RM 39 Mishkka

Alright, excusez-moi, je suis en train de boire du vin rouge. Tata.

Not Azure

Lately, I have taken to waking up late on weekends. Ever since starting that intern/admin job at my previous high school, sleep has once again shot up in its value. Grabbing it while I can, when I can. But I dislike how it eats up one-third of the day. You have to forgo morning yoga sessions, breakfast (it's another opportunity to eat!), at least 30 minutes of reading and what I like to call the "breaker" - the moment where you "break" from the sleep-induced brain misty-ness. No need for copious amounts of caffeine, not that I can handle it. So, I will let go of this slow crawl of life..... eventually.

My lack of motivation for change is largely due to the bouts of procrastination. Daily planning happens over breakfast and the mental list of things-to-do fade over the day's excitements. Blame can be placed on the many distractions brought on by our human desire for entertainment and ease, but there is nothing else to point to. Just turn your wrist around, it is the doing of our own folly. Although there is nothing more changeable than the human heart, I find it tough to steer change to the direction I wish. Mind over matter I guess. It is always the mind that is sensible.

So for the day consisting of a dim sum brunch, an afternoon movie with my brother (yay The Amazing Spiderman 2), seafood dinner and attempts to finish my daimoku goal, I donned the following outfit:

Lazy vibes man. Till next time!
